Stella seems to know lot of people, german people particularily. For this time she asked me to draw a Barbara Meier and future husband Klemens Hallmann drawinside picture.
As theses two seems to have everything , an original picture of them seems to be a great wedding gift.
So what i've found out is that Barbara should have done a brilliant mathematical carreer but she did the German Next top Model Competition and won it (unfortunatelly). Now she has to deal with a very busy Top-Model Carreer and Ambassador duties for many non profit Organisations. She found a self-made businessman as Mr Hallman and a philanthropic and generous Investor. They match perfectly !
A picture wishing all the best for the decades to come !

Swiss Army knife
So I'm president but I'm also the "chief" of my Lunch, my driver when going to the Post Office, The accountant, Sales and Marketing Manager, Performances Analyst, Chief of the buying Department, Manager of the R&D department, Office cleaning technician, doodle drawer, and many little jobs....
So as i sometimes sleep during meetings with my accountant reminder and have no time to keep tracking of the sales analysis, i need some extra hands i don't have.
I'm a Human Swiss Army Knife and have a special skill : I hate to do repetitive tasks, specially when a computer can do it, so let's do some programmation !
There is a skill i still use nowadays and this is the programmation of simple tasks a computer can do instead of me. I recently did a accounting program, using my monthly reports, extracting the numbers and adding them to each other : transforming 1 day of annoying work into 2 minutes job.
In my opinion, programming in Perl is the most usefull programmation language i learned !
Filling Postal slips makes Pierre go Crazy
I've asked the post office to see what they were using and they show me their brand new printers, not so noisy, and that runs with win XP.
I've done some search and found a second-hand one, running with Win7, and that print perfectly on several sheets of paper, and have dozens of postal tracking slips filled-up with my addres, ready to be filled with destination address, JOB Done !
Back to Work
After few weeks of rest i'm taking my pen back for custom orders i've been asked for. 3 different artworks with various thematics (love to discover new things!).
I still Accept Custom request, but will limit them to few pieces each month, due to lack of Time !
Here is the presentation of my packaging. I started shipping few years ago and continue to improve my technic to keep the prints safe during an incredible journey around the World.
Once the print is signed and numbered front and back, i insert it into a plastic sleeve with a Drawinside card. (large cards variation i should present on a next post).
To protect the print, i use cardboard sheets : 2 or 3 layers are the best and to get more assurance, i cross the cardboard sheets, so it make the parcel very difficult to bend. (i don't say impossible as there are always someone strong enough to bend it).
Then i insert the package inside the reinforced cardboard brief. Here are some pictures of the packaging process :
I really prefer to print on heavyweight paper but larger prints are hard to roll and unpleasants marks appears when unrolling the print. so i use a lighter paper than can bear roll and unroll operations. It is approx 120gsm paper. Once printed, signed and hand numbered, i roll it with my rolling machine and keep it in shape with customised paper strips.
I put a plastic protection all around the poster to make easy the insertion and extraction of the print inside the postal tube.
Rolling items banned
Postal tubes can't be shipped this way with the postal services : rolling objects can't be flashed or read by camera during sorting process in the postal facilities.
Every rolling object is put aside every time it enters a sorting machine (at least 10 times when shipped locally), and wait for human assistance to read the address and is then routed to the next destination. This can take up to 4-5 more days when shipped at the international, just due to the "rolling" aspect of the parcel.
And they ask for extra money for theses as they need human assistance !
So, what i do is : I insert the postal tube inside a cardboard box slightly bigger, that can't roll. And it's Ready to be mailed ! Here are some pictures of the packaging process:
